Wooldings – Whitchurch, Hampshire
The project was to update and extend the existing Farmhouse using Hampshire red brick, clay roof tiles, knapped flint, lime mortar, and natural larch cladding. The materials were selected to reflect the agricultural vernacular and Arts & Crafts influences. Providing high-quality, sustainable design and improving the appearance, energy efficiency, and functionality of existing buildings
An existing timber barn was replaced with an oak framed stucture for continued use as an event venue. This included a gallery, kitchen, WCs, and flexible reception space. The structure was timber-clad in Larch with limited glazing on the public elevations.
Existing trees and gardens were retained with new hedging and tree screening between structures, brick/flint garden walls were extended for privacy.
