Valley View Farm, Batcombe
Nick Shipp Architects were appointed to prepare a planning application for the redevelopment of No. 279 King’s Road, London, located in the heart of Chelsea. This new mixed-use development comprises 3no. retail units, 1no. cinema and 11no. residential apartments.
Due to the nature of the existing building and complex brief, it is proposed that a new structure would provide the most economic, sustainable and attractive solution providing a modern and pleasant environment for the buildings users to enjoy.
Through an intense pre-planning and design process, our intention is that the main Kings Rd facade responses strongly to the streetscape characteristic. By utilising this methodology, a design has been informed which helps tie together the adjacent two building blocks.
